“For twenty years, Blitch has met every challenge we’ve given them. The Vatican Pavilion was designed and built in just seven months and on a limited budget.” – ARCHBISHOP PHILIP M. HANNAN, ARCHDIOCESE OF NEW ORLEANS
Blitch Knevel designed a museum quality space to house a collection of religious art spanning 2000 years.
To attract visitors to the Pavilion, a 110 foot high dome, paraphrasing Michelangelo’s dome of St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome crowned a building clad in white enameled panels.
