The fully-renovated food court at Memorial Hospital at Gulfport features exhibition cooking as part of its multi-faceted Servery. Multiple food areas include sandwiches, hot plates, pizza and salads. Vending machines and warming areas are also provided.
A large open area provides flexible seating options. The Food Court connects the Hospital with the newer Medical Office Building/Parking Garage. The location allows fast meal service for visitors and staff with minimal walking across the hospital campus.
Equipment maintenance areas are concealed behind decorative panels in the casework. Positioning cashiers outside the servery minimized disruption in the traffic flow. A decorative window wall using clear glass, colored resin panels and opaque areas visually separates the Servery from the Dining area and provides security during non-operating hours while still allowing the seating areas to be used.
Bright colors and accent lighting above and at countertop level provide an energetic ambiance. Undulating countertop edges, multiple ceiling furr-downs and floating ceiling grids provide visual excitement.
