“The architectural design was thoroughly done, so much so that the builder didn’t have room for interpretations. We got what we thought we were getting. And it turned out marvelously well.” – LAWRENCE H. BULLIS, HEADMASTER, THE BULLIS SCHOOL
Blitch/Knevel Architects developed the master plan and design for the Founder’s Hall and Athletic Center for this private school campus in Potomac, Maryland. While adjusting its facilities for growth, the school emphasized a desire to remain consistent with the Georgian style of the existing campus buildings and the architecture of the surrounding area in the master plan and the character of each new campus building. The award winning Founder’s Hall design addressed a concurrence with the Georgian architectural style through symbolic blending of tradition and progress in this architectural anchor of the campus.
