“Founded in 1867, Academy of the Sacred Heart in New Orleans is a Catholic, independent, college preparatory school for girls offering education and instructional services from pre-kindergarten school through grade 12.”

The renovations include an updated library and assembly hall and a new innovation lab/makerspace.

The Katherine and Robert Boh Innovation Lab and Maker Space makes use of an empty space adjacent to the library. Featuring white boards, digital screens, a 3D printer, and other equipment, the space ‘encourages design-thought and fabrication-related ideas’ and promotes collaboration among students and teachers.

The Richard C. Colton, Jr. Center for the Performing & Fine Arts was refreshed with updated lighting and technology and refinished flooring. The renovation brings a fresh look to the assembly hall/art gallery.

The updated library focuses on promoting collaboration and quiet study while maintaining classic library function. Featuring warm and inviting colors and furnishings, the library encourages students to study and unwind in a cafe-like setting. The space understands the relevance of digital technology in modern learning and embraces it with thoughtful design.
